Project Overview: The Everyday Heroes Project is an innovative internal initiative launched for the employees of PGL, NSG, and WEC Energy Group. The project aimed to celebrate and acknowledge the everyday efforts of these employees, underscoring their commitment to leadership and safety. By transforming real employees into superhero illustrations, the initiative sought to inspire and educate both the staff and the broader community about the critical importance of training and safety.

Objective: The primary goal was to enhance internal engagement and communication within PGL, NSG, and WEC Energy Group. As the graphic designer and creative director, my responsibility was to create a series of unique “Everyday Heroes” illustrations based on actual employees, blending their real-life features and personalities with superhero inspirations.
Process and Design Choices: In creating the "Everyday Heroes" illustrations, I embarked on a process that began with detailed sketches and progressed to intricate vector art, crafting each superhero with attention to their unique physical features and personalities. Additionally, I designed the Everyday Heroes logo and the TEAM shield, the latter symbolizing the collective strength and support system within PGL, NSG, and WEC Energy Group. This blend of individual representation and collective symbolism was key in capturing the essence of the project.
Impact: The Everyday Heroes Project significantly impacted internal employee engagement, evidenced by a 34% increase in communication practices within the companies. This surge in engagement was attributed to the unique way the project connected with employees, fostering a sense of pride and belonging. The initiative not only celebrated individual contributions but also reinforced the collective mission of safety and teamwork, resonating deeply with the staff.
